ALA Midwinter Madness
I’m back!!! Tuesday night I returned home from ALA Midwinter to a very sick kiddo. She has that fever, cough, congestion thing that’s going around, and if you’re a parent/work with kids, you know exactly what I’m talking about. While she took a little afternoon snooze today, I thought I’d catch-up and write a quick […]

Off to Seattle
And I’m off to Seattle for the next few days! Well, not quite yet. Tomorrow evening, I’m flying to Seattle for the 2013 ALA Midwinter Conference, one of the largest library conferences of the year. A day late. But I don’t care. I’m going, and I’m going TOMORROW! What am I most looking forward to […]

This afternoon, I was downloading all the photos from it and thought I would share a few… Apartment view from roof. Park Slope, Brooklyn. Anna Sui, Spring 2008 Will […]

Texas Holiday
Under eight hours from Lawrence, Kansas to Dallas, Texas. Southbound 35. We were a bit hesitant to make the trip in the car with an extremely active 17-month old, but she did so much better than expected. The primary duration of the trip was occupied with books (two gym bags full!) and toys (likewise!). Had […]

A few noteables…
Ever since my husband decided on Kansas for where he wants to go back to school, the whirlwind of preparations commenced. While we are busy making plans, life continues on. A few notable details over the past few days…. We found a place to live in Kansas. I cannot tell you how much of a […]

Big Hair, Big Teeth
LBD and I flew back home from Texas on Sunday. A break from the snow to warm our toes and warm our souls was just what the doctor ordered. Springtime Lone Star-style is my favorite time of year there, especially when the bluebonnets start to show their petal brims. By mid-April, the land turns wild […]

At the Zoo
Yesterday, we took a trip to the Fort Worth Zoo. It was a Texas blue skies sorta day. We wore our sun hats. We wore our smiles. After the day was done, we wore out one little girl.
